The first step when replacing the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve begins by taking off the air cleaner outlet resonator. Follow next steps by disconnecting the evap canister purge solenoid valve tube quick connect fitting from the evap purge solenoid valve then placing the tube aside for better access. Remove the evap purge valve solenoid wiring harness electrical connector from its connection point. Gather the upper Intake Manifold evap canister purge solenoid valve by removing its bolt which allows the removal of the valve with any necessary o-ring seal . Use clean engine oil to lubricate the o-ring seal prior to installing the evap canister purge solenoid valve in the upper Intake Manifold position. Proof the evap purge solenoid valve bolt with a 10 nm (89 lb in) torque setting. You need to join the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the evap purge valve solenoid before placing the evap canister purge solenoid tube and attaching the tube quick connect fitting to the evap purge solenoid valve. Install the air cleaner outlet resonator as your final step.
