The ignition should be turned off before beginning the process of replacing the evap Canister Purge Valves. After disconnecting the electrical connector from the evap Canister Purge Valves, start by removing the evap canister purge pipe together with the vacuum supply hose from the valves. The evap Canister Purge Valves must be removed after unfastening their retaining bolt from the
Intake Manifold. The new evap Canister Purge Valves should be placed on the Intake Manifold before installing them with the retaining bolt which needs tightening to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Reconnect the evap canister purge pipe after which you should attach the vacuum supply hose and finally install the electrical connector for the evap Canister Purge Valves.
