How to Service and Repair Canister Purge Valves on Buick Regal? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace an EVAP canister purge valves requires removal of the fuel injector sight shield. The procedure begins by disconnecting the electrical connector of the EVAP canister purge valves then moving onto purge pipe and vacuum supply hose disconnection sequence. Press the tab on the mounting bracket to discharge the valves from their position while checking if carbon material exits the component. The installation process involves placing the new EVAP canister purge valves on their mounting bracket while reattaching their purge pipe and vacuum supply hose followed by electrical connector connection. Finish the task by installing the fuel injector sight shield back.

    Q:
How to replace the canister purge valves on Buick Regal? Posted by Customer
    A:
The starting point to replace the EVAP canister purge valves requires turning OFF the ignition and removing the fuel injector sight shield. First detach the evaporative emission canister purge valve harness connector followed by purge pipe removal and disconnecting the vacuum supply hose. Remove the EVAP canister purge valves upon releasing the retention bracket on its mounting bracket then check for carbon leaks from the valves. Cable harness installation should proceed by first mounting the new EVAP canister purge valves onto their bracket followed by reconnection of purge pipe and vacuum supply hoses and cable harness connector before reattaching the fuel injector sight shield.

    Q:
How to replace the canister purge valves on Cadillac XLR? Posted by Customer
    A:
First, take off the fuel injector sight shield in order to change the EVAPORATIVE EMISSION (EVAP) CANISTER PURGE SOLENOID VALVE. Then, take off the engine vacuum pipe from the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve that leads to the intake manifold EVAP pipe, then disconnect the engine purge pipe and harness connector from the EVAP canister purge valve. After unplugging all the connections, take out the EVAP canister purge valve. Start the installation by placing the new EVAP canister purge valve and then attaching the harness connector to it. Afterwards, join the engine purge pipe to the chassis purge pipe and the engine vacuum pipe to the EVAP canister purge valve. In the last step, install the fuel injector sight shield again.

    Q:
How to replace the canister purge valves on Chevrolet Camaro? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin by turning off ignition and disconnecting the electrical connector from the evap canister purge valve. First disconnect the evap canister purge pipe from the evap purge valve before removing its retaining bolt. Remove the evap canister purge valve from its position on the Intake Manifold as the next step. During installation place the evap canister purge valve on the Intake Manifold while using the correct fasteners in the proper locations due to replacement part numbers matching the specification. Paints and lubricants and corrosion inhibitors must not be used on fasteners and joint surfaces unless explicitly mentioned because they interfere with torque and clamp force performance. Tighten down the evap canister purge valve retaining bolt to 10 nm (89 in lb). To finish the process you must connect both the electrical connector to the evap canister purge valve and also connect the evap purge pipe to the evap purge valve.

    A:
The first step to install a new EVAP canister purge valves requires removal of the left fuel rail cover. You must detach the EVAP canister purge valves from their placement on the bracket. You should install the EVAP canister purge valves first by securing them to the purge bracket and after that connecting the harness connector to the valves. Proceed to link the engine purge pipe to the chassis purge pipe as well as the engine vacuum pipe to the EVAP canister purge valves. As a final step replace the left fuel rail cover.
