How to replace the canister purge valves on 2001 Buick Regal?

Begin by turning off the ignition before you remove the fuel injection sight shield to access the EVAP canister purge valves. First disconnect the evap canister purge valve harness connector then remove the purge pipe as well as the vacuum supply hose. Check for carbon release from the valves after pulling out their retaining tab from the EVAP canister purge mounting bracket. Install the new EVAP canister purge valves by placing them on the mounting bracket then reconnect the purge pipe with vacuum supply hose followed by harness connector installation and torquing the fuel injection sight shield.
