    Q:
How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 1 Sensor 1 on Cadillac DeVille? Posted by Customer
    A:
A heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) bank 1 sensor 1 replacement requires an engine temperature of at least 48°c (120°F) for proper extraction. Reused sensors get a pre-applied protective coating from the manufacturer but you should apply anti-seize compound p/n 5613695 or equivalent to their threads before reusing them. First secure the vehicle and support it from the ground before you begin to support the rear powertrain frame. Lower framework by no more than 76 mm (3 inches) when you remove the four rear frame bolts. Use a screwdriver to disconnect the rear Oxygen Sensor electrical connector while you pull out the sensor from the rear Exhaust Manifold. Insert the rear Oxygen Sensor into the rear Exhaust Manifold before torquing it to 41 n.m (30 lb ft). The replacement process begins by connecting the rear Oxygen Sensor connector followed by frame elevation. Then reinstall the set of four rear frame bolts while tightening them to 100 n.m (74 lb ft). Finally, lower the vehicle down.

    Q:
How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 1 Sensor 1 on Cadillac Eldorado? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace a heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) bank 1 sensor 1 involves supporting the vehicle while raising it, together with supporting the powertrain frame from the rear. The four rear frame bolts need removal while lowering the frame only three inches below its original position. Before removal disconnect the rear Oxygen Sensor's electrical connector and remember that an engine temperature above 48°c (120°F) will make the task easier. The next step is to pull out the Oxygen Sensor which fits inside the rear Exhaust Manifold. The sensor installation needs special anti-seize compound on its threads; check if the new sensor already has this compound or if used sensors require treatment with p/n 5613695 or equivalent compound. Each new service Oxygen Sensor must arrive with anti-seize compound but reused sensors need anti-seize compound p/n 5613695 or its equivalent for coating. Secure the rear Oxygen Sensor into the rear Exhaust Manifold using 41 n.m (30 lb ft) of torque. Use the rear Oxygen Sensor connector to begin; raise the frame and tighten all four rear frame bolts to 100 n.m (74 lb ft) before you lower the vehicle.

    Q:
How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 1 Sensor 1 on Cadillac Seville? Posted by Customer
    A:
When replacing the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) bank 1 sensor 1 you need to ensure the engine reaches at least 48°c (120°F) before trying to take it out due to higher temperatures making the removal process easier. A new service sensor comes with pre-applied anti-seize coating on its threads so technicians should apply p/n 5613695 or an equivalent compound to reused sensors. Support the vehicle in raised position before you start supporting the powertrain frame from behind. Lower the frame up to 73.2 mm (3 inches) after removing its four rear bolts. Proceed by disconnecting the rear Oxygen Sensor electrical connector and then remove the sensor from the rear Exhaust Manifold. To install the rear Oxygen Sensor mount it into the rear Exhaust Manifold before securing it with 41 n.m (30 lb ft) torque. You should reconnect the rear Oxygen Sensor connector while raising the frame then reinstall four rear frame bolts which need to be tightened to 100 n.m (74 lb ft) before lowering the vehicle.

    Q:
How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) 1 on Chevrolet Malibu? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) 1, one disconnects the electrical connector. Use the Oxygen Sensor socket (J 39194-B) to unscrew the heated Oxygen Sensor by freehand as it may be a difficult operation if the engine is below 48 °c (120 °F) and the use of extreme force may damage the threads at the Exhaust Manifold or Exhaust Pipe. Cand the measured threads of the heated Oxygen Sensor/catalyst monitor with anti seize compound p/n 5613695, or otherwise similar if needed, since a special anti seize compound with graphite suspended in fluid and glass beads is used on the measured threads. A new or service sensor will already have this compound added. In case a sensor is withdrawn and has to be mounted back, apply ds acting values to the threads. Mount and fasten the heated Oxygen Sensor by pretending it with 42 n.m (31 lb ft) for the ho2s 1 (Pre-catalytic converter). Finally, reconnect the electrical connector.

    Q:
How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 2 Sensor 1 on Chevrolet S10? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S), Bank 2 Sensor 1, first, lift vehicle. Now, unplug the connector for the HO2S, and then unplug the HO2S using the Oxygen Sensor Wrench (J 39194-B). Prior to installation if needed, paint the threads of a new or service replacement sensor with anti-seize compound GM P/N 5613695, which is a liquid graphite and glass beads mixture to make extraction easier at a later time. Replace the HO2S by using the Oxygen Sensor Wrench (J 39194-B), and screw in the HO2S with 42 N.m (31 lb ft). Finally, position the HO2S harness connector and also drop down the vehicle.
