The heated oxygen sensor contains graphite suspension in fluid and glass beads which will burn off during operation yet leave behind the glass beads for future ease of extraction. When reinstalling a sensor that was previously removed apply anti-seize compound to the threads during the process. To install the heated oxygen sensor or catalyst monitor thread area should receive anti-seize compound application such as P/N 5613695 or an equivalent before using the Oxygen Sensor Socket tool (J 39194-B) for proper installation at 42 N.m (31 lb ft).
