The replacement of the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) bank 1 sensor 1 requires an engine temperature above 45°c (120°F) to accomplish removal. The reuse threads need p/n 5613695 anti-seize compound due to new sensors arriving with pre-applied coating. Start by raising and supporting the vehicle and supporting the powertrain frame from the rear section. Lower the frame no more than 73.2 mm (3 inches) after removing its four rear frame bolts. First disconnect the rear Oxygen Sensor electrical connector before removing it from the rear Exhaust Manifold. Install the rear Oxygen Sensor by placing it into the rear Exhaust Manifold before tightening it to 41 n.m (30 lb ft). Attach the rear Oxygen Sensor connector before raising the frame for proper installation and bolt this frame with a torque of 100 n.m (74 lb ft). Finally, lower the vehicle.
