How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Bank 1 Sensor 1 on Cadillac Seville?

When replacing the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) bank 1 sensor 1 you need to ensure the engine reaches at least 48°c (120°F) before trying to take it out due to higher temperatures making the removal process easier. A new service sensor comes with pre-applied anti-seize coating on its threads so technicians should apply p/n 5613695 or an equivalent compound to reused sensors. Support the vehicle in raised position before you start supporting the powertrain frame from behind. Lower the frame up to 73.2 mm (3 inches) after removing its four rear bolts. Proceed by disconnecting the rear Oxygen Sensor electrical connector and then remove the sensor from the rear Exhaust Manifold. To install the rear Oxygen Sensor mount it into the rear Exhaust Manifold before securing it with 41 n.m (30 lb ft) torque. You should reconnect the rear Oxygen Sensor connector while raising the frame then reinstall four rear frame bolts which need to be tightened to 100 n.m (74 lb ft) before lowering the vehicle.
