How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) 1 on 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?

First disconnect the electrical connector for heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) 1 before beginning replacement. Make use of the heated Oxygen Sensor wrench (J 39194-B) to remove the ho2s 1 but be careful because installation will become challenging when operating temperatures remain below 48°c (120°F) since excessive force could harm Exhaust Manifold threads. The threads of the installed new or service sensor need anti-seize compound gm p/n 12377953 or its equivalent to facilitate future removal because this compound contains graphite and glass beads. Use anti-seize compound on ho2s 1 before installing the sensor by tightening it to 41 n.m (30 lb ft) using the heated Oxygen Sensor wrench (J 39194-B). Finally, reconnect the ho2s 1 electrical connector.
