    Q:
How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) on Buick LaCrosse? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S), locate the Oxygen Sensor electrical connector by disconnecting it and do not apply too much pressure that might damage the threads in the Exhaust Manifold /pipe. If the engine temperature is below 48oc (120oF) then the Oxygen Sensor will tend to become hard to remove, one should ensure that the engine of the opa has been properly been warmed up. Then, take away the heated Oxygen Sensor. On the installation of the new or reused sensor apply an anti-seize compound; item part number 5613695, or an equivalent, to the threads if not already pre-applied. Remove the round punch from the ho2s package and install it to 1 to 42 n.m, (31 lb ft) and reconnect the Oxygen Sensor electrical connector. Treat the ho2s and the o2s gently, ensuring the in-line electrical connector and the louvered end of both parts are free of grease, dirt, or other type of contamination and refrain from using cleaning solvents or dropping the sensors.

    Q:
How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) on Buick Lucerne? Posted by Customer
    A:
To change the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) you need to obtain the required tools; these are the Oxygen Sensor wrench (J 39194). Start with an intake manifold cover removal and separating the engine harness electrical connector from the ho2s pigtail. Next you will take the ho2s pigtail clip off the sight shield bracket, lift and position the vehicle. It is recommended to take out the ho2s if engine temperature is high because of difficulty in removing it. Temperature should not be above 48°c (120°F). Remove the ho2s from the Exhaust Manifold using the Oxygen Sensor wrench (J 39194). When installing, a special anti-seize compound gm p/n12377953 or the like must be applied on the threads of the old sensor in case it has to be reinstalled. Install the ho2s with the help of the Oxygen Sensor wrench (J 39194), and tighten it to 42 n.m (31 lb ft). Lastly, lower the vehicle, then reconnect the engine harness electrical connector to the ho2s pigtail and install the ho2s pigtail clip to the sight shield bracket re-install the intake manifold cover.

    Q:
How to replace the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) at Position 1 on Buick Rendezvous? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement process of the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) at Position 1 begins with acquiring the needed tool which is a Heated Oxygen Sensor Wrench (J 39194-B). First remove the intake manifold cover followed by removing the connector position assurance retainer and disconnect the engine harness electrical connector from the HO2S. You should remove the HO2S electrical connector clip from its position on the ignition coil bracket. You must use a Heated Oxygen Sensor Wrench (J 39194-B) to take out the HO2S but keep the pigtail connected with the permanent attachment and the connector safe. The threads of new or serviced HO2S should receive an anti-seize compound GM P/N 12377953 or equivalent when returning to use the original sensor. Follow the instructions to fasten the HO2S with a Heated Oxygen Sensor Wrench (J 39194-B) at 41 N.m (30 lb ft). Installation ends by reconnecting the engine harness electrical connector to the HO2S then installing the CPA retainer and attaching the HO2S electrical connector clip to the ignition coil bracket followed by the intake manifold cover.
