First disconnect the bank 2 Oxygen Sensor 2 electrical connector from the engine wiring harness. Take out bank 2 Oxygen Sensor 2 from its position within the Catalytic Converter. Special anti-seize compound made from graphite suspended in fluid and glass beads should be used as a thread coating on heated Oxygen Sensor fittings because it simplifies future sensor removal. Special components within the compound simplify Oxygen Sensor extraction during future maintenance operations. New or service sensors receive standard application of this compound during production. For identical sensor reinstallation apply p/n 5613695 anti-seize compound to the threads before installation. Affix anti-seize compound on Oxygen Sensor 2 threads when needed before inserting sensor into the Catalytic Converter for tightening at 41 n.m (30 lb ft). Connect the Oxygen Sensor 2 electrical connector to the engine wiring harness and lower the vehicle as the last step.
