2005 Chevrolet Corvette Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Knock Sensor (KS) on 2005 Chevrolet Corvette?
A: The first step starts with batter cable uninstallation followed by right Exhaust Manifold and right Catalytic Converter detachment. Clearance requirements may need the removal of the Starter assembly. Start by unscrewing the Knock Sensor mounting followed by separating the Knock Sensor 2 from the engine block through engine electrical connector disconnection. Begin the installation by attaching the electrical connector to Knock Sensor 2 then place the Knock Sensor 2 on the engine block and fasten the mounting bolt to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Reinstall the Starter assembly followed by the Catalytic Converter and right Exhaust Manifold if the assembly was removed. The final step is to reconnect the negative Battery Cable after programming the transmitters when you disconnected the battery.
