  • Q: How to Replace a Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Without Damaging the Pigtail and Connector on 2004 Buick Regal?
A: Assessing a heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) requires several necessary tools including the Oxygen Sensor wrench (J 39194). Oxygen Sensor wrench (J 39194). The ho2s along with its Oxygen Sensor arrives with an integral pigtail and connector that users must not detach because damage to this equipment will degrade the sensor's ability to function properly. When handling the ho2s and o2s maintain cautious behavior to keep in-line electrical connectors and the louvered end free from dirt by cleaning them with no chemicals. The removal process starts by lifting up and holding the vehicle steady. Remove the retaining tab from the ho2s electrical connector then disconnect it. The Oxygen Sensor wrench (J 39194) helps extract the ho2s from its placement within the Exhaust Pipe. The Oxygen Sensor setup begins with Exhaust Pipe installation of the sensor while applying special anti-seize compound to the threads.
