You should remove the MAP sensor by starting with fuel injector sight shield removal and next disconnecting the MAP sensor electrical connector. You must release the MAP sensor locking tabs holding it to the PCV valve cover just enough to extract it before pulling the MAP sensor straight out of the PCV valve cover. You need to ensure that you install the MAP sensor with its seal intact while also checking for any damage on the device during setup. Place the MAP sensor onto the PCV valve cover while making sure its locking tabs activate to lock down the MAP sensor. Reconnect the MAP sensor electrical connection and reinstall the fuel injector sight shield after placement.
