2006 Chevrolet Equinox Oxygen Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S 1) on 2006 Chevrolet Equinox?
A: Installation of the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S 1) starts with disconnecting its harness connector before removing it from the Exhaust Manifold. A tiny quantity of nickel-based anti-seize compound should be applied to the threads during ho2s 1 installation but make sure it does not carry silicone since such additives will contaminate the sensor. Install the ho2s 1 to the Exhaust Manifold while tightening it to 31 lb ft (42 N.m). Last step is to connect the ho2s 1 harness connector when you validate the positive attachment by pulling it back.
