How to replace the Knock Sensor (KS) on 2006 Chevrolet Equinox?

To change the knock sensor (KS), raise the vehicle first. Unplug the knock sensor (KS) electric connector, and take off KS bolt and KS. Avoid using thread locker on the sensor threads during the installation as they have factory coating and any more thread lockers may compromise detection efficiency of the sensor. Mount the KS to the engine block and bolt it down with the KS bolt, tightening it to 25 N.m (18 lb ft). Then, plug in the KS electrical connector, and lower the vehicle.
