How to Replace a Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) 2 on 2005 Chevrolet Equinox?

Before starting heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) 2 replacement, raise the vehicle, disconnect ho2s 2 harness connector and proceed with removal of the sensor. Apply a liquid penetrant to the sensor but avoid using any silicone-based items because these substances will pollute the ho2s. Extract the ho2s 2 detector from its position in the Exhaust Pipe. When installing the new ho2s 2 sensor use only anti-seize compound with a nickel base and avoid silicone-based products. Secure the ho2s 2 sensor with a torque setting of 42 n.m (31 lb ft). To connect the ho2s 2 harness connector push the connector until you hear a click and pull it back to verify a secure connection. Finally secure the ho2s 2 harness pigtail connector to the chassis structure.
