  A: Before you replace the ignition cable, you remove the injector sight shield first. Then unplug the ignition cable from the left side spark plugs by twisting the ignition cable boot one-half turn to loosen the ignition cable boot, making certain to pull only on the boot without touching the wire. Next, lift the ignition cable from their retaining clips and move to the right side spark plugs, following the same pattern of removing them while making sure to disengage the wires from the ignition coil/control module and the engine. If a new ignition cable is being installed, move any required components like boot heat shields, ignition cable conduit, and ignition cable retaining clips. For installation, connect the ignition cable to the ignition coil/control module then to the right side spark plugs by securing them in the retaining clips then to the left side spark plugs and followed the same process. Finally, reinstall injector sight shield.
