How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor 1 on 2007 Buick Rendezvous?

The Heated Oxygen Sensor 1 replacement procedure starts with intake manifold cover and connector position assurance (CPA) retainer removal after which the engine harness electrical connector unfastens from the HO2S before removing the HO2S electrical connector clip from the ignition coil bracket. Raise the vehicle before removing the HO2S with Heated Oxygen Sensor Wrench (J 39194-B). For HO2S installation always apply special anti-seize compound to HO2S threads by using GM P/N 12377953 and equivalent replacements for existing sensors when possible. Position the HO2S into place before using the special Heated Oxygen Sensor Wrench (J 39194-B) to tighten it to 41 N.m (30 lb ft). Reconnect the engine harness electrical connector to the HO2S then replace the CPA retainer before you attach the HO2S electrical connector clip to the ignition coil bracket and install the intake manifold cover.
