• Q: How to replace the Spark Plug Wires on 2007 Buick Rendezvous?

  A: To replace the ignition cable, have the following tools at hand: engine tilt strap (J 41131). Make a point of removing the intake manifold cover first before unclipping the ignition cable (2, 4, and 6) from the left side spark plugs as well as disengage from Ignition Coil, before taking the latter off their retaining clips from the engine. Polarize the engine to provide access to the rear and remove the ignition cable (1,3 or 5) from the right side spark plugs, the Ignition Coil and the retaining clip off the engine. When replacing the ignition cable, if any parts such as the ignition cable conduit, retaining clips exist on the old spark plug, transfer them to the new spark plug. Install: install the new ignition cable temporarily to the engine and install it in the retaining clip and connect to the Ignition Coil and right side spark plugs (1,3,5). Adjust the engine tilt strap (J 41131) using the engine tilt bar and then release it and remove it along with the installation of the engine mount struts. Lastly, secure all the ignition cable into the retaining clips, connect them (2, 4, or 6) to the Ignition Coil and the left side spark plugs, and reinstall the intake manifold cover.
