The ho2s removal process should be performed with precision while you protect the sensor's pigtail and harness wires against direct contact since this could cause performance degradation. The sensor threads need application of anti-seize compound p/n 12377953 or equivalent before reinstalling because this specialist paste helps with thread removal. Tighten the ho2s at the Catalytic Converter to 42 n.m (31 lb ft). After positioning the vehicle and attaching the cp retainer you can reconnect the engine harness to the ho2s connector before lowering the vehicle. The peripheral seal of the vehicle harness connector must stay sealed to stop water entry and the sensor and connectors should be free from contact cleaners and solvents for maintaining peak performance.
