The replacement of heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) 2 requires users to acquire an Oxygen Sensor wrench (J 39194). Raise the vehicle while providing adequate support. Extract the ho2s electrical connector retaining tab from the ho2s electrical connector before you disconnect it. You can use the Oxygen Sensor wrench (J 39194) to extract the ho2s from the Exhaust Pipe. Begin with the installation by fitting the new sensor to the Exhaust Pipe followed by the application of anti-seize compound to the threads. The service procedure requires anti-seize compound p/n 12377953 or equivalent for both new service and reused sensors. Secure the Oxygen Sensor by using the Oxygen Sensor wrench (J 39194) to a maximum torque of 41 n.m (30 lb ft). The ho2s electrical connector should be connected to the ho2s connector and then secure the retaining tab. Finally, lower the vehicle.
