How to replace the MAP Sensor on the L36 on 2005 Chevrolet Impala?

You must remove the fuel injector sight shield before replacing the L36 MAP sensor. Separate the MAP sensor electrical connector next clear the two locking tabs from the MAP sensor via the PCV valve cover just enough to extract the device while pulling it directly out. During installation make sure the MAP sensor works with a correctly plugged seal and that it does not have any damage. Position the MAP sensor on the PCV valve cover while taking care to let the locking tabs lock it into place. Reconnect the MAP sensor electrical connector while reinstalling the fuel injector sight shield.
