How to replace the MAP Sensor on the L36 on 2004 Chevrolet Impala?

To replace the manifold absolute pressure (map) sensor on the L36 take out the fuel injector sight shield and disconnect the Map sensor electrical connector. Gently raise the locking tabs that hold the MAP sensor to the PCV valve cover enough to pull the sensor out of the PCV valve cover, then remove it. For installation, ensure that there is an appropriate installation of the seal of the MAP sensor and it is not broken. Place and mount the MAP sensor to the PCV valve cover, translating the locking tabs with the sensor mounted. Finally, reconnect thenewly crimped MAP sensor, plant the electrical connector,fuel injector sight shield reinstalled.
