How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) 2 on 2004 Chevrolet Impala?

To remove heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) 2, get the necessary tools, such as Oxygen Sensor wrench (J 39194). First, lift and support the vehicle. Turn both terminals on the ho2s former electrical connector while pulling the retaining tab and then removing the connector. Using Oxygen Sensor wrench (J 39194), remove ho2s from the Exhaust Pipe. When installing a new Oxygen Sensor, one must make sure that a special anti-seize compound is applied to the threads; new service sensors should already come with this compound, while reused sensors should be coated with anti-seize compound p/n 12377953 or equivalent. Mount the Oxygen Sensor to the Exhaust Pipe and tighten to 41 n.m (30 lb ft) with the Oxygen Sensor wrench (J 39194). Plug the ho2s connector back and put the retaining tab in place before lowering the vehicle.
