Start by disconnecting the ho2s electrical connector tab from the retaining clip then remove the ho2s retaining clip from its bracket. Finally remove the electrical connector retainer from its position. Lift your vehicle while maintaining an engine temperature above 48°c (120°F) for efficient Oxygen Sensor removal. The rear Oxygen Sensor removal from the back Exhaust Manifold requires the Oxygen Sensor wrench (J 39194) to complete the task. A special anti-seize compound must be applied to the threads of new or reused sensors before installation by using anti-seize compound p/n 5613695 or equivalent. Tighten the rear Oxygen Sensor to 41 n.m (30 lb ft) once it is placed into the rear Exhaust Manifold. Oders must be completed in this sequence: lower the vehicle, connect the electrical connector to the ho2s and fix the bracket to the tab while placing the electrical connector retainer in position then put back the fuel injection sight shield.
