How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) located post-catalyst on 2006 Chevrolet Malibu?

To replace the post-catalyst Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S), initially, support the vehicle by raising it. Look closely at the routing of the HO2S electrical harness and unplug the HO2S electrical connector near the engine compartment. After securing the pivoting hose clamp (HO2S) on the HO2 sensor, use the Oxygen Sensor Wrench (J 39194-C) to unclip the HO2S and you also lower the electrical harness above the underbody. If reinstalling the old HO2S, apply the threads of the adapter with an anti-seize compound GM P/N 12377953, or else. Install the HO2s carefully to the pipe and tighten it with the help of the Oxygen Sensor Wrench (J 39194-C) with a torque of 41 N.m (30 lb ft). Use the provided drawings to install the HO2S electrical harness as was done before removal and install the HO2S electrical connector. Finally, lower the vehicle.
