EGR Tube

Begin the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) pipe servicing process by removing its retaining bolt from the EGR Valve then gently extracting the pipe assembly backward. The egr pipe assembly nut must first be removed from the Exhaust Manifold before extracting the egr pipe. When installing the EGR Valve pipe you should first secure it to the Exhaust Manifold while tightening the egr pipe nut to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Attach the EGR Valve pipe bolt and secure it at 25 n.m (18 lb ft).

Service of the EGR Tube begins with turning off the ignition. Start by removing the bolt from the egr pipe assembly which connects to the valve after which gently extract the pipe assembly. You need to remove the egr pipe nut from the Exhaust Manifold before taking off the egr pipe. Installation starts by attaching the EGR Valve pipe to the Exhaust Manifold before torquing the egr pipe nut to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). The egr pipe bolt needs to be installed onto the EGR Valve followed by tightening it to 25 n.m (18 lb ft).

First disconnect the ignition and secure the parking brake before starting the replacement of the egr pipe. The floor jack should raise the vehicle front by 100 mm while you remove its two mounting bolts in the front section. Slowly position the frame along with powertrain about 100 mm (4 inches) down from the underbody rails to work on the egr pipe while avoiding more than a 100 mm (4 inch) drop. Set two pressure stands beneath the frame to stop it from moving. Start by removing the egr pipe bolt and the egr pipe from the EGR Valve before losing the egr pipe nut to separate the egr pipe from the Exhaust Manifold for pipe removal. Install the egr pipe to the Exhaust Manifold by tightening the egr pipe nut to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Proceed to attach the egr pipe along with its bolt to the EGR Valve before tightening the bolt to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Following frame and powertrain elevation by a floor jack until rails contact the underbody you can install frame bolts before removing the jack stands to lower and remove the floor jack. After this release the parking brake.

The bolt securing the EGR Valve pipe assembly needs removal before pulling the pipe assembly slowly from its position. Nicr adjust the Exhaust Manifold egr pipe assembly nut and extract the egr pipe from its position. Start by attaching the EGR Valve pipe to the Exhaust Manifold through proper torquing of the egr pipe nut to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). The EGR Valve requires installation of its bolt and subsequent tightening to 25 n.m (18 lb ft).

The procedure starts with shutting off the engine ignition before egr pipe replacement. The EGR Valve pipe assembly should be detached from its bolt before gently pulling the pipe assembly in reverse direction. Start by taking off the egr pipe assembly nut attached to the Exhaust Manifold before proceeding to remove the egr pipe. The EGR Valve pipe installation should begin by connecting it to the Exhaust Manifold before securing the egr pipe nut to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). You should put the egr pipe bolt on the EGR Valve followed by a torque of 25 n.m (18 lb ft).

All servicing operations on the EGR Tube begin with turning off the ignition switch. The bolt securing the pipe assembly to the EGR Valve should be removed before carefully pulling the pipe assembly backward to take out the gasket. The egr pipe assembly nut needs unscrewing where it connects the Exhaust Manifold before removing the egr pipe. Install the EGR Valve pipe by connecting it to the Exhaust Manifold while using a new gasket according to the fastener notice included in cautions and notices. Place the egr pipe bolt onto the EGR Valve before securing its nuts to 30 nm (22 lb ft).

You should start by turning off ignition prior to replacing the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) pipe. Use a bolt remover to take out the retaining bolt that holds the pipe assembly to the EGR Valve and smoothly move the pipe assembly in reverse direction. Beginning with egr pipe assembly nut extraction from the Exhaust Manifold you can remove the egr pipe. First install the EGR Valve pipe onto the Exhaust Manifold then fasten the egr pipe nut to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). The EGR Valve installation requires attaching the egr pipe bolt followed by tightening it to 25 n.m (18 lb ft).

Install the EGR pipe bolt, tightening it to the same torque specification of 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

First, remove the EGR pipe bolt and the EGR pipe assembly nut from the exhaust manifold, then take out the EGR pipe.

Reinstall the air cleaner intake duct.

Attach the EGR valve adapter pipe bolt to the exhaust manifold, tightening it to 30 N.m (22 lb in).

Remove the mounting bolt and the stud from the EGR valve adapter pipe bracket before taking out the EGR valve adapter pipe assembly.

Secure it with the EGR valve inlet adapter pipe bolts and studs (2,3), tightening them to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

Remove the mounting bolt that attaches the EGR outlet pipe flange to the intake manifold.

Remove the mounting bolt that attaches the EGR outlet pipe flange to the intake manifold.

Remove the bolt retaining the pipe assembly from the EGR valve.

Lower the vehicle.

Unscrew the EGR pipe assembly nut from the exhaust manifold and then remove the EGR pipe.

Remove the bolt retaining the pipe assembly from the EGR valve and carefully pull the pipe assembly back, then remove the gasket.

Attach the EGR pipe to the exhaust manifold.

Attach the EGR pipe to the exhaust manifold.

Connect the EGR pipe to the EGR valve.

Attach the EGR valve pipe to the exhaust manifold.

Remove the EGR pipe.

Remove the EGR pipe.
