The first step to change the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) outlet pipe requires elimination of the air cleaner intake duct. First detach the egr outlet pipe bolt from the Intake Manifold while removing the egr outlet pipe nut from the egr valve inlet adapter pipe. The next step in replacement is to remove the egr valve outlet pipe. You should begin by fitting the egr valve outlet pipe and afterwards lock the egr outlet pipe bolt to the Intake Manifold while tightening it to 30 n.m (22 lb ft). Secure the egr outlet pipe nut onto the egr valve inlet adapter pipe by tightening it to 30 n.m (22 lb ft). Install the air cleaner intake duct as the final step of reinstallation.
