How to replace the EGR Tube inlet pipe on Buick Regal?

The first step of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) inlet pipe replacement requires EGR Valve removal and a subsequent removal of secondary air injection (AIR) pump outlet pipe. The first step requires removing the EGR Valve outlet pipe then the EGR Valve adapter pipe mounting bolt from the Exhaust Manifold. Begin by taking out the EGR Valve adapter pipe assembly after first removing the mounting bolt and the stud at the EGR Valve adapter pipe bracket. A safe reinstallation process begins with placing the EGR Valve adapter pipe assembly where it belongs according to the fastener notice in service precautions. Fasten the bracket of the EGR Valve adapter pipe assembly by mounting both the bolt and stud while tightening them to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). The EGR Valve adapter pipe bolt requires installation onto the Exhaust Manifold where torque should reach 29 n.m (21 lb in). The last step includes installing the EGR Valve outlet pipe followed by the secondary air injection (AIR) pump outlet pipe (if needed) along with the EGR Valve itself.
