How to replace the EGR Tube inlet on Buick Regal?

The process for replacing an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) inlet pipe requires removal of the EGR Valve together with the secondary air injection (AIR) pump outlet pipe if present. Detach the EGR Valve outlet pipe together with the EGR Valve adapter pipe mounting bolt from the Exhaust Manifold. First detach the mounting bolt along with the stud from the EGR Valve adapter pipe bracket then unlock the EGR Valve adapter pipe assembly . The installation process starts with setting the EGR Valve adapter pipe assembly into its original position. Mount the mounting bolt and the stud onto the EGR Valve adapter pipe bracket by securing them at 50 n.m (37 lb ft). Start by mounting the EGR Valve adapter pipe bolt to the Exhaust Manifold where tightening to 30 n.m (22 lb in) is necessary. Place back the EGR Valve outlet pipe while reinstalling the secondary air injection (AIR) pump outlet pipe if it is applicable. Finally, install the EGR Valve.
