  A: Bank 1 sensor 1 heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) replacement requires engine temperatures above 48°c (120°F) to perform the installation successfully. A specific anti-seize compound requires application onto the Oxygen Sensor threads. All new oxygen sensors arrive with a factory coating but reused sensors require anti-seize compound p/n 5613695 or identical products for proper coating. Before the work begins raise the vehicle and attach supports to the powertrain frame's rear section before you remove the four bolts that secure the frame. Lower the frame to 3 inches (76 mm) while disconnecting the rear Oxygen Sensor's electrical connector before you can remove the sensor from the rear Exhaust Manifold. Installation requires insertion of the rear Oxygen Sensor into the rear Exhaust Manifold until torque reaches 41 n.m (30 lb ft). Raise the frame then reconnect the rear Oxygen Sensor connector before reinstalling the four rear frame bolts with torque set at 100 n.m (74 lb ft) before lowering the vehicle.
