How to service the EGR valve on Chevrolet Impala?

The service process starts by turning off the ignition while also disconnecting the EGR Valve electrical connector. You should first remove the bolt which holds the pipe assembly to the EGR Valve then slowly back out the pipe assembly. Start by disconnecting the power source from the EGR Valve then separate the retaining bolts that hold the assembly and the gasket before removing both components. Before installing the EGR Valve onto the Intake Manifold you must place the new gasket while carefully obeying the fastener notice in service precautions. After placing the new gasket install the bolts through the EGR Valve into the Intake Manifold by tightening them to 30 n.m (22 lb ft). Position the Exhaust Pipe assembly near the EGR Valve before securing it using the bolt and tightening each nut to 30 n.m (22 lb ft). The last step in the repair involves reconnecting the electrical connection of the EGR Valve.
