    Q:
How to replace the canister purge valves on Buick LaCrosse? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step for replacing the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve requires you to turn off the ignition. Start by disconnecting both the purge line from the solenoid valve and then disconnecting its electrical connector. Remove the Intake Manifold solenoid from its position by disconnecting the manifold side of the purge line and then removing the solenoid together with its bolt. You should start by installing the purge valve solenoid at the Intake Manifold position following a tight torque of 10 n.m (89 lb in) on the purge solenoid bolt. The installation process starts with connecting the purge line to the manifold side of the solenoid followed by electrical connector reconnection and completion through connecting the purge line to the purge valve solenoid.
