How to replace the canister purge valves on 2006 Cadillac DTS?

To change the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve, start by removing the fuel injector sight shield. Then unplug the EVAP pipe quick connect fitting from the EVAP CFR filter solenoid valve, and the engine harness electrical connector tag from the valve. Take out the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve and the bolt that locks it. For the installation purposes, install a new O-ring for the EVAP purge solenoid valve before installing it. Secure the valve using the bolt tightened to 10 N.m (89 lb ft), and reapplied connection of the harness electrical connector for the engine, and the EVAP pipe quick connect fitting. Finally, replace the fuel injector sight shield.
