How to replace the Cam Gear Actuator on 2007 Cadillac Escalade?

To replace the cam position actuator on the pump, remove the oil pump and throw out the CMP actuator solenoid valve. Care must be taken not to disturb the reluctor wheel while removing. Remove timing chain and loosen CMP actuator. Mount the actuator, press the timing chain tensioner and align during installation. Finally, reinstall the oil pump.
