2007 Cadillac Escalade Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the power steering hose inlet with hydroboost on 2007 Cadillac Escalade?
A: Begin the replacement of the power steering gear inlet pipe/hose with hydroboost by putting a drain pan underneath your vehicle. The installation of new power steering gear inlet hose starts by disconnecting it first from the Brake Booster and then the power steering gear and finally takes off the hose from the vehicle. First route the hose to the same position as before removal and then secure the power steering gear inlet hose to the Brake Booster with only hand torque. The hose installation should begin at the power steering gear while setting torques at 32 n.m (24 lb ft) on each fitting. The final step includes draining the pan before performing power steering system bleeding.
