2007 Cadillac STS Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Service and Repair the A/C Accumulator on 2007 Cadillac STS?
A: For servicing and repairing the A/C accumulator, start by recovering the refrigerant. Then, remove the front air deflector and plug of desiccant bag. It is the point to note down the lost PAG oil from the desiccant bag in order to keep the appropriate level of system oil until taking the desiccant bag. To install, first install the new desiccant bag and lubricate O-rings on the desiccant bag plug. Then, install the desiccant bag plug and tighten it up to 2.9 N.m (26 lb in). Install the front air deflector, lower the vehicle and add the right quantity of oil. Finally, evacuate and recharge the refrigerant and perform the Halogen Leak Detector (J 39400-A) to check for the leaking fittings of the component.
