  A: To replace the condenser in a heavy-duty cooling system, the first thing you will do is recover the refrigerant. Unbolt the Power Steering Cooler, raise, and support the vehicle. Then, remove the front air deflector retainers and the front air deflector, removing the lower air baffle push pin retainers. Remove the condenser upper bracket bolts, condenser lower mounting bolts and take off discharge line bolt and disconnect discharge line from the condenser, discard o-ring. Unlock the condenser tube bolt and remove the condenser tube from the condenser, disposal of the o-ring as well. Reposition the Power Steering Cooler to one side for the removal of the condenser, followed by the removal of the condenser. In case of replacing to a new a condenser increase the specified amount of a pag oil into the condenser. Change the new condenser and relocate the Power Steering Cooler. Replace a new o-ring to the condenser tube and attach it to the condenser while tightening the condenser tube bolt to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Reinstall a new o-ring to the discharge line and attach it to the condenser, tightening the bolt of the discharge line to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Put in the lower condenser mounting bolts, and tighten them to 5.4 n.m (48 lb in) as well as the upper condenser bracket bolts, which need to be tightened to 5.4 n.m (48 lb in). Reinstall the lower air baffle push pin retainers, the front air deflector, and the front air deflector maintainers. Retract the vehicle, and mount the Power Steering Cooler mounting bolts. Lastly, evacuate and recharge the a/c system, and conduct a leak test on the fittings with the aid of the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).
