How to replace the Steering Angle Sensor on 2007 Cadillac XLR?

The sir system get disabled before starting the replacement of the Steering Angle Sensor. First dismantle the Steering Column from the vehicle before dismounting the boot seal and Steering Shaft seal and sensor retainer and sensor locator from the Steering Shaft. After removing the Steering Angle Sensor replace it back. Installation requires positioning the Steering Angle Sensor onto the Steering Shaft followed by sensor locator, sensor retainer and Steering Shaft seal and boot seal. Sir system activation completes the procedure after Steering Column reinstallation.
