How to replace the Tail Light/Turn Signal Lamp on 2007 Cadillac XLR?

To replace the tail/turn signal lamp, that is illuminated by a Light Emitting Diode (LED) and replaced as an assembly, first, open up the rear compartment and pull off the caps from the screws that hold the tail/turn lamp. Next remove screws that hold the tail/turn lamp to the rear quarter panel then pull and the tail/turn lamp rearward to detach it from the quarter panel. Take off the electrical connector from the tail/turn lamp and remove the lamp. For installation, join the electrical connector to tail/turn lamp and orient the lamp to the quarter panel. Prior to installing the tail/turn lamp screws , Tighten them to 2 N.m (18 lb in) then change the tail/turn lamp screws caps. Lastly, check on the operation of the tail/turn lamp and re-close the rear compartment.
