How to replace the Tail Light/Turn Signal Lamp illuminated by a Light Emitting Diode (LED) on 2008 Cadillac XLR?

First open the rear compartment to access the tail/turn signal lamp assembly consisting of a single Light Emitting Diode (LED). After removing protective caps from tail/turn lamp screws, unscrew the screws which lock the tail/turn lamp in its rear quarter panel position. To remove the tail/turn lamp first pull the lamp rearward from its position on the quarter panel then disconnect the electrical connector from the tail/turn lamp . Fasten the electrical connector to the tail/turn lamp before placing it on the quarter panel. Install and tighten the tail/turn lamp screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in.) torque. Install tail/turn lamp screw caps along with a tail/turn lamp operation check followed by closing the rear compartment.
