2007 Chevrolet Aveo Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the A/C Condenser on 2007 Chevrolet Aveo?
A: The first step for condenser replacement includes disconnecting the negative Battery Cable before discharging and recovering the refrigerant. Begin by removing the Radiator followed by removing the bolt that secures both the liquid evaporator pipe connector block and the receiver-dryer. You should install caps to all exposed openings before removing the upper condenser mount nuts and washers. Position the condenser at the back of the engine bay then raise it before removing the unit from this compartment. The initial setup requires new o-rings on receiver-dryer tube fittings with proper installation of condenser rubber mounts. Set the condenser into position by guiding its lower shock mounts through pre-designated holes while moving it forward into the positions on the Radiator support bracket. Secure the receiver-dryer to its spot by tightening the band clamp bolt. Using a nut connect the receiver-dryer to the condenser pipe connector block before tightening it to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Then secure the liquid pipe connector block to the condenser retaining bolt and tighten it to 14 n.m (124 lb in) before installing the refrigerant discharge hose connector block bolt at the condenser with a torques setting of 16 n.m (12 lb ft). Reinstall the Radiator followed by negative Battery Cable reconnection followed by an evacuation and recharge of the a/c system.
