• Q: How to replace the fuel injector on 2007 Chevrolet Corvette?

  A: Replacement of Fuel Injector requires obtaining the following tools: fuel pressure gage (J 34730-1A) and tool set and fuel line quick connect separator (J 37088-A). First disconnect the Fuel Rail assembly then remove the retaining clip holding the Fuel Injector. After that disconnect the electrical connector from the Fuel Injector. Carefully handle the Fuel Injector electrical connector pins without causing damage while keeping all nozzles and the Fuel Injector free from any cleaner solution. The following step involves extracting the Fuel Injector out from the Fuel Rail. It becomes unnecessary to modify o-rings when replacing fuel injectors as part of a Fuel Rail exchange because replacement o-rings should only occur when damaged. Before adding the new Fuel Injector into the Fuel Rail it should receive a small application of clean motor oil on its o-rings. Proceed with reattaching retaining clips to the Fuel Injector and rejoining its electrical connector. To check for leaks reinstall the Fuel Rail assembly then activate the ignition switch on for 2 seconds followed by turning it off for 10 seconds and finally turn the switch on to examine for fuel leaks.
