The first step to replace the Parking Brake Shoe requires you to take out the brake rotor along with the wheel bearing/hub. The adjustment of the parking brake adjusting nut needs to be completed through rotation until the park brake shoe reaches full adjustment. Start with removing the Parking Brake Shoe retaining spring before extracting the park brake shoe assembly by grasping the shoe and spreading it slightly along with pulling it from the actuator assembly. Installation involves grasping the park brake shoe slightly before pulling it onto the actuator assembly while spreading it gently afterward the shoe retaining spring should be installed. First adjust the Parking Brake Shoe clearance after that reinstall the wheel bearing/hub along with the brake rotor.
