How to replace the rear tank Fuel Filler Hose on 2007 Chevrolet Express 3500?

The first step to install a rear tank using the new fuel filler tube involves cleaning all fuel pipe and hose connections along with their nearby areas in order to avoid fuel system contamination. Start the procedure by opening the fuel filler cap to let the fuel drain reach the bottom of the fuel tank fill hose. First raise the vehicle before you remove the 2 retaining bolts and push-pin holding the filler neck to the body. Start the fuel filler tube with rear tank replacement by first removing the fuel filler tube ground strap bolt while loosening the fuel fill hose to fuel fill pipe clamp and finally disconnecting the fuel fill hose from the fuel fill pipe which enables removal of the fuel fill pipe assembly. When installing the fuel components you must join the fuel fill hose to the fuel fill pipe by ensuring alignment with the fuel fill pipe housing before torquing the clamp to 2.75 n.m (24 lb in). First tighten the fuel filler tube ground strap bolt to 8 n.m (70 lb in) before lowering the vehicle down. Secure the fuel fill pipe housing bolts using a push-pin before tightening them to 6 n.m or 53 lb in. Complete the procedure by filling up the fuel tank before reinstalling the fuel filler cap.
