The procedure of replacing the lh door fuel tank filler pipe begins with hose and pipe connection cleaning followed by area sanitization to avoid fuel system pollution. Begin the procedure by opening the fuel filler cap then draining the fuel until the level reaches under the fuel tank fill hose. Begin by removing the 2 retaining bolts and push-pin which attach the filler neck to the body while next raising the vehicle. Attro mechanics should start by removing the ground strap bolt from the fuel filler tube then they should loosen the fuel fill hose clamp and disconnect the hose from the fuel fill pipe. To proceed with removal disconnect the fuel fill pipe assembly from the rest of the system. Install the fuel fill pipe to the fuel fill hose by properly placing it within the fuel fill pipe housing before securing the clamp at 2.75 n.m (24 lb in). Install the fuel filler tube ground strap bolt while tightening it to 8 n.m (70 lb in). Afterward lower the vehicle. To complete the operation you should first install the fuel fill pipe housing bolts and push-pin followed by tightening the bolts to 6 n.m (53 lb in). Then fill the tank and restore the fuel filler cap.
