How to replace the exhaust heat shield for the catalytic converter on 2007 Chevrolet Impala?

The replacement of the Catalytic Converter heat shield begins with removing the converter itself. After detaching the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) wiring harness from its clips on the Catalytic Converter heat shield you should drill out the rivets securing the heat shield. The correct placement of the new Catalytic Converter heat shield on the underbody requires you to install new rivets for securing it. The final step in the replacement is to reconnect the ho2s wiring harness to heat shield clips before reinstalling the Catalytic Converter.
