Start by removing retainers from the side trim panel and the hush panel from the instrument panel and finally take out the knee bolster from the instrument panel. Safely secure the Hood Cable end into the passenger compartment while removing handle bolt screws from it. A short wire or string attached to the hood release cable end will help the new cable installation process. Place a small flat-bladed tool into the engine compartment to extract the grommet through the passenger compartment before pulling out the hood release cable from the instrument panel and taking away its wire or string.
