How to replace the front seat cushion pad and cover on 2007 Chevrolet Malibu?

Start by removing the front seat but the process to replace front seat cushion cover and pad requires removal of the recliner handle followed by inner and outer trim covers. You should detach both J-strips from the seat frame as well as the one on the recliner rod. The heated seating system in the vehicle needs its wire connector to be separated during this process. Differentiate the front seat cushion cover and pad from the seat frame by removing the hog rings from beneath the seat cushion. Afterward you should remove the foam pad from inside the cover. When installing push the cushion cover onto the cushion pad while making sure the listing wire lines up with the trim cover. Place the hog rings onto the seat cushion underside before you reposition the seat cushion cover together with pad onto the seat frame.
