How to replace the wiper motor on 2007 Chevrolet Malibu?

Before you start replacing the wiper motor you need to take off the wiper arms, air inlet grille panel and wiper drive system module. Disconnect the wiper transmission links from the wiper motor crank arm using Wiper Linkage Separator (J 39232) before removing the two wiper motor bolts. Take out the spacer first from the wiper drive system module and then remove the wiper motor from the module. Undo the wiper motor module support bracket from the wiper motor completion. Place the wiper motor module support bracket on the wiper motor before you set the wiper motor into position on the wiper drive system module and add the spacer to its corresponding slot. Put the wiper motor bolts into position and fasten them to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in). You need the Wiper Linkage Installer tool (J 39529) to link wiper transmission links onto the wiper motor crank arm. Install these parts alongside the wiper drive system module, air inlet grille panel, and wiper arms. Check if the washers work as intended for the last step.
